Marvin L. McKibben, 79, of Albion, IA passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, March 2, 2013, at the Main St. Chapel of the Anderson Funeral Homes. A memorial has been established in his name. Marvin was born on October 1, 1933 to Harold and Alma (Randall) McKibben in Marshall County. He was educated in the Liscomb schools. He served his country during the Korean conflict in the U.S. Army. Marvin was united in marriage to Flora Brooker on May 21, 1953. She died October 1, 1997. He was then married Betty Moore on July 3, 1999. Marvin was employed with Fisher Governor now known as Emerson as a machinist. He was a member of the Central Christian Church and a former member of the Bethany United Methodist Church where he served as a deacon. Marvin volunteered many hours at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown.
Marvin will be missed by his wife, Betty, a daughter, Linda McKibben of Overland Park, KS, a son, Steven McKibben of Clive, IA, three step children, Chuck (Patty) Moore of Kansas City, MO, David (Anita) Moore of Springfield, MO, Suzie Moore of Stanhope, IA, a grandson, Aaron (Terra) Humphreys, two great grandchildren, Brianna and Brittney, three step grandchildren and seven step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Flora, and a son, Danny.
