Cliff Robbins, 81, of Marshalltown, IA, passed away peacefully Friday, March 15, 2013, at the Iowa River Hospice Home with his loving family by his side. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at the Main Street Chapel of the Anderson Funeral Homes with Rev. Dr. Kim Wilson officiating. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, March 18, 2013, at the Main St. Chapel of the Anderson Funeral Homes. Interment will be in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens, in Marshalltown. Cliff was born December 14, 1931, in Marshalltown, the son of John and Pauline (Corneilson) Robbins. He received his education in Marshalltown schools. Cliff was married to Sharon Ankrum on June 7, 1951. He was a truck driver for H&W Motor Express for 17 years, Taken Brothers for 7 years, Mahaska Beverage for 6 years having spent 30 years as a truck driver.
Cliff enjoyed watch NASCAR with his favorite driver being Jeff Gordon. He also loved to bowl, play golf, play poker with family and friends and just being outdoors. He enjoyed spoiling all of his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife Sharon of 62 years, four children, Mike (Mary) Robbins of West Virginia, Janet Robbins of Marshalltown, Jerry (Dawn) Robbins of Bagdad, KY and Julie Robbins of Marshalltown. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren and three siblings, Betty Ricketts of Bettendorf, IA, Shirley Rhea of Anderson, IN, and Gary (Linda) Robbins of Dixon, IL
Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother Ed.
