Cleaniac of Marshalltown invites the public to roll up your sleeves from 9 a.m. to noon April 20 and assist in preparing local city parks for a busy season of use as part of Cleaniac's "Earth Day Community Cleanup."
Volunteers will be picking up trash, raking leaves or other various activities at the following locations: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Anson Park, 301 E. Anson St. (MHS students will be working this location); 9 a.m. at Elks Park, 516 N. 3rd St.; 10 a.m. at Gold Finch Park, 310 W. Merle Hibbs Blvd.; and 11 a.m. at Timber Creek Park, 609 E. Southridge Road.
Individuals or groups that would like to participate may send an email to info@cleaniac.org or contact Committee President Dan Engesser at 641-752-1087 and indicate which green space you would like to help refurbish. Gloves, trash bags and bottled water will be provided.
