ATLANTA - Iowa State junior forward Hallie Christofferson was one of seven players selected to the WBCA all-Region 5 team this week.

In turn, Christofferson also was named a nominee for the Division I Coaches' All-America Team on Thursday.

The Cyclone junior from Hamlin had a breakout season in Ames after leading the team in scoring at 15.6 points per game. She also averaged 6.6 rebounds per game and was one of the nation's top shooters with a 52.4 field goal percentage.

Christofferson scored in double-figures in 26 of Iowa State's 31 games and had 20 or more points 11 times. She posted seven double-doubles and shot better than 50 percent from the field in 20 games en route to being named a unanimous selection to the all-Big 12 first team.

Aside from that, Christofferson also was one of the top free throw shooters in the game at 86.7 and was the only player in the country to rank in the top 25 of both free throw percentage and field goal percentage.

The selection committee will determine the 10-player WBCA Division I Coaches All-America team at a later date.

Other members of the all-Region 5 team and nominees for an all-American honor include Baylor's Britney Griner and Odyssey Sims, Kansas State's Brittany Chambers, Oklahoma State's Toni Young, Angel Goodrich of Kansas and Oklahoma's Aaryn Ellenberg.
