Miller Middle School science teacher Julie Miller can count on eighth grader Jordan Smiley to be there for her.

"He does anything I ask and is always willing to help others," Miller said. "He's just an all-around great kid and a good role model."

Smiley feels it's important to take his school work seriously so he can go to college and get a good job when he is an adult. One day, he would like to become an athletic trainer.
