Cool temps couldn't keep the Bobcats from scorching through Hoover Tuesday.

The Marshalltown boys tennis team won every match in straight sets to make quick work of the Huskies 11-0 at home.

No Bobcat gave up more than four games in a set as Ryan Shomo (6-2, 6-4), Kalei Platt (6-2, 6-4) and Blake Gimbel (6-1, 6-4) jumped in front early at the top three singles positions. Adam Podhajsky (6-3, 6-0), Jameson Eberline (6-3, 6-2) and Drayton Lents (6-1, 6-3) kept the ball rolling at the No. 4 through 6 spots.

Gimbel and Eberline didn't give an inch (6-0, 6-0) at No. 2 doubles, while top tandem Shomo and Platt paired for a 6-0, 6-4 victory. Podhajsky and Lents won 6-1, 6-3 at No. 3 and Riley Wirth and Ryley Faircloth tallied a 6-3, 6-1 decision at No. 4. Tyler Ashby and Kade Vopava rounded out the Bobcats' shutout at No. 5 doubles earning a 6-0, 6-2 victory.

The Bobcats, who were without Ben Anzis Tuesday due to illness, head to Southeast Polk Thursday. Action gets underway at 4 p.m.
