When the boys' golf sectionals take place next month, several schools from the area will see lots of familiar faces on the links.

Eight area schools in Class 1A have been put together by the Iowa High School Athletic Association. Those eight schools include host Grundy Center, AGWSR, BCLUW, Gladbrook-Reinbeck, Colo-NESCO, North Tama, GMG and Meskwaki Settlement School.

The sectional tournament will kick off at 10 a.m. and take place on May 10 at Town & Country Golf Course in Grundy Center.

The golfers who advance to districts will perform on May 17 at Pheasant Ridge Golf Course in Cedar Falls at 10 a.m.

The Class 2A portion of sectionals involving area teams will be at Gates Park Golf Course in Waterloo. That tournament tees off at 9 a.m. and it includes West Marshall, East Marshall and South Hardin as well as Aplington-Parkersburg, host Waterloo Columbus Catholic, Dike-New Hartford, Hudson and Jesup.

The district tournament for those golfers who advance past sectionals will take place at Fox Ridge Golf Course in Dike on May 17 at 10 a.m.

The South Tama County Trojans will head to Solon on May 9 to play at Saddleback Ridge Golf Course in a 9 a.m. tee time.

Competing against South Tama for a chance to advance to districts will be Benton Community, Central Clinton (DeWitt), Maquoketa, host Solon, Washington and Williamsburg.

The district site for those that advance will take place in Williamsburg at Stone Creek Golf Club at 10 a.m. on May 17.
