AMES - Three different players scored as the Class 3A No. 12 Ames boys' soccer team denied Marshalltown a Central Iowa Conference Northern Division title with a 3-0 decision over the No. 15 Bobcats on Friday night.

Nathan Twito had a goal and two assists, Mike Mayberry had a goal and an assist, and Tomas Lence also scored for the Little Cyclones (11-3, 3-0), who won their fourth straight.

Goalkeeper Kreighton Miller was credited with nine saves in net for MHS (15-2, 2-1), which was whistled for three of the four yellow cards handed out during the match.

"The boys didn't come to play tonight," said MHS coach Creighton Jenness. "It was a disappointing game and all of the boys knew it."

The Bobcats now turn to the postseason, getting a first-round bye before hosting either Des Moines Hoover or Southeast Polk on May 22 at 6:30 p.m.
