Doris Banghart, 85, of Ferguson, Iowa passed away on Saturday, May18,2013, at Grandview Heights Nursing and Rehab Center in Marshalltown, Iowa.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 24, 2013, at the Ferguson Bible Church in Ferguson, Iowa. There will be no visitation. Doris Jean Williams was born on September 5, 1927, in Owassa, Iowa; she was the daughter of Ralph Waldo and Maude (Peters) Williams. Doris attended school in the Albion Community Schools, graduating with the class of 1945. On May 18, 1945, Doris was united in marriage to Royce Andrew Banghart in Albion, Iowa. They resided in rural Ferguson, Iowa, for 61 years. Doris worked at The Iowa Veterans Home in the Dietary Department. She was a member of the Ferguson Bible Church. Doris volunteered hundreds of hours at the Food Box and the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown, and had taught nursery class at her church until she was 81 years old. Doris will be remembered for her deep faith, her generosity and love for others , as she was always caring for others. Doris enjoyed her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she enjoyed cooking, vegetable gardening, and canning, even canned eggs.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 68 years, Royce, of Marshalltown. Children: Ronald (Linda) Banghart of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and Joyce Banghart of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Grandchildren: Michael (Aldin) Banghart, Melissa (Dan) Rammelsberg, and Mark Banghart; great-grandchildren: Brooklyn and Madison. Siblings: Robert Williams of New York, Beverly Williams of Texas, Dorothy Hopkins of Des Moines, and Donald Williams of Kansas.

In death Doris rejoins her parents, Ralph and Maude.
