Surely I'm not the only one wondering why the Marshalltown family would want a known viscous dog around a baby ("Sheriff's deputy shoots pit bull" published in Saturday's Times-Republican). Not to many days ago I read where a small child was killed by a dog in central Iowa. Also, another lady out walking was attacked by a dog and had her nose bitten off. If this dog would chase after a wild turkey it also could chase after a human. Meat is meat, the dog would say. Maybe when this child grows up she may think maybe those deputies really saved her life. I agree with what the sheriff is saying when being threatened by a dog. The dog is going to lose.
