May 23

Manuel Fujarte, of Toledo, made an initial appearance on a driving while revoked charge. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. June 10. Fujarte was released on his own recognizance.

Alyssa Rashe Wenner, 303 N. First St., made an initial appearance on a failure to yield right of way upon left turn charge and a driving under suspension charge. She pleaded not guilty to both charges and a pre-trial conference is set for 9 a.m. July 9 in Magistrate Court. Wenner will hire her own attorney. Wenner was released on her own recognizance.

Kavila Jared Clark, of Toledo, made an initial appearance on a contempt charge. His contempt hearing was rescheduled for 2 p.m. July 3. The court appointed Merrill Swartz to represent in this case. Clark was released on his own recognizance.

Heidi Jo Doyle, 202 Rainbow Drive, or of Tama, made an initial appearance on a trespass charge. She pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is set for 9 a.m. July 9 in Magistrate Court. She will hire her own attorney. Doyle was released on her own recognizance.

Sabir Mamor, 211 N. Third Ave., made an initial appearance on a aggravated domestic assault charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his case. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. May 31. Bond is set at $2,000 cash or surety. The court ordered that if Mamor owned or possessed any firearms or ammunition he is to contact the Marshall County Sheriff's Office within 24 hours to make arrangements to surrender them. A no-contact order was issued for the protected party.

Arrests

On May 19, Dustin Robert Gould, of Rhodes, was arrested for possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, unlawful possession of prescription drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On May 15, Paul James Hopkins, 924 N. Fifth Ave., was arrested for driving under the influence and carrying a concealed weapon.

May 20

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to three fire calls to 1 Lackey Terrace, 2907 S. Sixth St. and 1910 S. Eighth Ave.

May 21

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to three fire calls to: 101 NewCastle Road, 710 Noble St. and 707 S. Seventh Ave. and four medical assists with the EMS crew to: 602 W. Linn St., 312 S. Fifth Ave., 707 W. Southridge Road and 10 W. Lincoln St.

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a fire call to 1301 Summit St. and four medical assists with the EMS crew to: 615 Summit St., 604 S. Ninth Ave., 3120 S. Second St. and 921 S. 10th Ave.
