Ervin Dewalt Jr., 314 N. 14th Ave., made an initial appearance on a criminal mischief-fourth degree charge. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. July 11. Dewalt was released on his own recognizance.

Nicholas Pefferman, 2510 S. Sixth St. Apt. E15, made an initial appearance on a possession of methamphetamine-first offense charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his case. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. July 11. Bond will continue as posted until the conclusion of this case.
