As part of the Summer Library Program, the Le Grand Pioneer Heritage Library has three more programs for area children.
At 1 p.m. on Tuesdays, July 19 and July 26, the Blank Park Zoo will bring more fun and educational animals to visit the library. This traditional live animal program is designed to show various animals and give information such as where and how they live, how they adapt to their environment and what they eat.
They will bring at least three animals to share during an interactive lesson. Children will be encouraged to answer thought-provoking questions about the animals and will have the opportunity to ask questions of their own.
Representatives from the Blank Park Zoo, in Des Moines, will bring animals to the Le Grand Pioneer Heritage Library July 19 and July 26.
Some animals that have already visited have been a baby alligator, screech owl, an Australian Cane Toad and a gopher tortoise.
