New varsity football coach Aaron Shipley has set the dates for the Marshalltown Bobcat football camps.
The elementary and intermediate athletes will attend camp on July 30 through Aug. 1 from 5:30-7 p.m. That camp is for student-athletes in grades 1-6 and the cost is $25, which includes camp instruction, a T-shirt and daily refreshments.
The middle school and high school camp will take place from Aug. 5-9. The $40, five-day camp is for grades 7-12 and will run from 4-5:30 p.m.
All campers should wear T-shirts, shorts and football cleats. Both camps will take place at the Marshalltown High School practice fields, which sit just north of Leonard Cole Field.
The camps are geared to players of all skill levels and the lessons being taught will help the athletes prepare for the 2013 football season. The athletes will be tested in several areas throughout the camp and this will be used as a baseline to evaluate progress throughout this and future seasons.
Coach Shipley asks that you register as soon as you can, but walk-ins are welcome. If registering on the day of the camp, show up 20-30 minutes ahead of time.
