Joyce Eurom, 1602 Elder Drive, made an initial appearance on a public intoxication charge. She pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is set for 9 a.m. Aug. 27 in Magistrate Court. The court appointed Laura Sopher to represent her in this case. Eurom was released on her own recognizance.

Ben Ore Wedgwood, 207 W. Linn St., made an initial appearance on a disorderly conduct charge. He pleaded guilty and was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75. The court allowed for monthly installment payments of $50 beginning Aug. 23 until the debt is paid.

Ryan Seymour, 207 E. High St., made an initial appearance on a serious assault charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his case. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. Aug. 12. Seymour was released on his own recognizance. A no-contact order was issued for the protected party.

Daniel Michael Ratte, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a operating while intoxicated-first offense charge and a improper lanes charge. He will represent himself on these matters before the court. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. Aug. 14. Ratte was released on his own recognizance. The court ordered him to obtain a substance abuse evaluation and submit the results to the court within 60 days of today's date.

The court ordered that if he owned or possessed any firearms or ammunition Leavy is to make arrangements within 24 hours within the Marshall County Sheriff's Office to surrender them. Bond is set at $2,000 cash or surety. A no-contact order was issued for the protected party.
