Arrests

On July 21, Joseph Griffith, age 52, of Cedar Falls, was arrested on Highway 20 for domestic abuse assault. He posted bond and was released.

On July 21, Heather Anger, age 33, of Cedar Falls, was arrested for domestic abuse assault. She was released on promise to appear.

On July 20, Chum Zel, age 21, of Marshalltown, was arrested by the Iowa State Patrol on a Grundy County warrant charging him with contempt of court. He was released on promise to appear.

On July 19, Ryan Billerbeck, age 24, of Waterloo, was arrested on Highway 20 and charged with operating while intoxicated-first offense. He was released on promise to appear.

On July 13, Aaron Claassen, age 23, of Grundy Center, was arrested in Grundy Center and charged with disorderly conduct and interference with official acts. He posted bond and was released.

On July 13, Thomas Knapp, age 22, of Cedar Rapids, was charged for disorderly conduct. He was cited and released.

On July 13, John Pratt, age 24, of Allison, was charged with interference with official acts. He was cited and released.

On July 9, John Hardwick, age 26, of Beaman, was arrested in Beaman on three counts of child endangerment and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held in lieu of bond.

Accidents

On July 25, a vehicle driven by Trenton Garcia, age 18, of Toledo, was southbound on T-19 south of 210th Street when Garcia fell asleep at the wheel, woke up when the car was on the shoulder of the road, took evasive action and struck a mail box as it reentered the roadway. No injuries were reported. Garcia was cited for failure to carry an insurance card. Damage to the Garcia vehicle was estimated at $3,500.

On July 24, a car driven by a female juvenile of Cedar Falls was eastbound on 160th Street east of Dike when it collided with the rear of a car driven by Linda Johnson, age 52, of Cedar Falls, as it slowed to make a turn into a drive. No injuries were reported. Damage to both vehicles was estimated at $2,000 each.

On July 23, a vehicle driven by Robert Biersner, age 59, of Dike, was southbound on R Avenue when the right rear wheel dropped off the roadway causing the vehicle to enter the west ditch where it rolled over. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Biersner vehicle was estimated at $5,000.

On July 15, a car driven by Justin Dudley, age 22, of Reinbeck, was westbound on Highway 175 west of Morrison when it pulled over to attempt a U-turn and turned in front of a car driven by a juvenile female from Reinbeck which took evasive action, but collided with the Dudley car. No injuries were reported. Dudley was cited for failure to yield upon entering a through highway. Damage to the Dudley car was estimated at $4,000 while the juvenile's car received an estimated $2,500 in damage.

Arrests

On Friday, Max Benjamin Thomasson, of Newton, was arrested for parole violation.

On Thursday, Jozef Musa Elbino, of Des Moines, was arrested for probation violation.

On Friday, Matthew James Mills, of Liscomb, was arrested for disorderly conduct and minor in possession of alcohol.

On Friday, Andrea Josephine Thompson, 1009 S. Third Ave., was arrested for two counts of child endangerment without injury.

On July 25, Luis Alberto Garcia, 302 S. Second Ave. Apt. #5, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.

On July 25, Wal Puoch Deng, 114 N. 12th Ave., was arrested for probation violation.

On July 9, Karen Michelle Sanford, of Gladbrook, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.

Incidents

On Friday, a representative from the East Marshall School District, of Le Grand, reported the theft of two Apple MacBook laptop computers. Estimated value of loss was $2,014.
