DES MOINES - Iowa House Speaker Kraig Paulsen says he will not run for the congressional seat being vacated by U.S. Rep. Bruce Braley's run for Senate.

In an email to supporters Wednesday, Paulsen says he will run for re-election to the state House. He says he will stay where he has "the greatest impact for all Iowa's families."

Paulsen, of Hiawatha, was elected to the House in 2002 and was made Speaker in 2010.
