IRVING, Texas - The networks and times for the inaugural Big 12/SEC Challenge have been finalized, both leagues and ESPN said Monday.
Iowa State already was scheduled to host Auburn as part of the first-ever challenge, and that game will now take place on Dec. 2 at 6 p.m. on ESPNU.
The first year of the Big 12/SEC Challenge will play out over six weeks. Texas Tech and Alabama on Nov. 14 will kick off the tournament, while Texas A&M and Oklahoma will finalize it during a neutral site game in Houston on Dec. 21.
The two featured matchups will be Kansas traveling to Florida in an ESPN game on Dec. 10 and Baylor playing Kentucky on ESPN at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on Dec. 6. Missouri, formerly of the Big 12, also will play West Virginia on ESPN2 on Dec. 5.
Other matchups include Vanderbilt-Texas, TCU-Mississippi State, Mississippi-Kansas State and South Carolina-Oklahoma State.
