Jackie Zimmerman shot the low round on the second day to overcome a one-stroke deficit and win the Legion Women's Golf Association Championship on Sunday at the American Legion Memorial Golf Course.
Zimmerman's final-round 85 was Sunday's low score and moved her past Lori Veld, who had led after shooting a 9-over-par 80 during Saturday's first 18-hole round. Zimmerman finished with a 81-85-166 total to hold off Veld (80-89-169) and matching rounds for Paula Wantiez and Paula Weaver (88-86-174), who tied for third.
Leslie Walden rounded out the top five with her 88-91-179 total.
Deb Beem and LeeAnn Ainley tied for sixth place (180), Barb Vovos and Meg Sponseller shared eighth place (190), Sally Sharp took 10th (192) and Janine Muckler (207) rounded out the tournament field.
