NEW ORLEANS - The Wartburg College women's outdoor track and field team repeated as the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association's Scholar Team of the Year, leading all of NCAA Division III with 14 all-academic honorees, the USTFCCCA national office recently announced.

This marked the third time in five years that Wartburg has been named the outdoor track and field Scholar Team of the Year.

BCLUW High School graduate and Union native Haddie Vawter, a senior, was one of the 14 all-academic recipients as a member of the national champion Wartburg squad. The Knights had a cumulative team grade point average of 3.274 and the highest placing team with at least a 3.10 GPA.
