Tama County Engineer Lyle Brehm said road work is continuing to be done with work on Highway D65 in northern Tama County at the Tama County Board of Supervisors meeting Monday.
Brehm told supervisors the tiling on D65 will be done when the asphalt topping is complete. Brehm also reported the first layer of asphalt on T47 has been done and the road around Union Grove Lake is being resurfaced.
Supervisors asked what the decision with FEMA on bridge replacement was. Brehm said the project by Dysart would soon be visited by a specialist to determine the work to be done. Brehm also stated the amount that FEMA would furnish would be to cover the bridge in its same size. The bridge would be replaced with a wider deck when done.
In other business, two utility permits were approved, one for Poweshiek Water to extend service at 2879 320th St. and one for Windstream to lay fiber work on 320th Street from X Avenue to Highway 21.
