Abdelfarag Hussen Salih, 114 N. 12th Ave., made an initial appearance on the reinstitution of bond on three cases. Marshon Dubbert will continue as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 30. Bond is set at $2,000 cash only in each of the three cases.

Hussein Jamal Mowonge, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a theft-third degree charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his case. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Sept. 9. Mowonge was released with supervision through the Department of Correctional Services and is to report to the adult probation office by 9 a.m. tomorrow and sign a pre-trial release agreement.

Lance Walker, address unknown, made an initial appearance on two counts of a enhanced public intoxication charge. Cynthia Weber-Blair will continue as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Aug. 30. The posted bond will continue until the conclusion of these cases.

Demetrius Logsdon, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a warrant for violation of probation. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his case. The probation revocation hearing is set for Aug. 30 at 11:15 a.m. Bond is set at $2,000 cash only.

Justin Davis, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a warrant for driving while barred. Davis will hire his own counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Sept. 9. Davis was released on his own recognizance.

Esther Buenrostro, 206 N. 12th Ave., made an initial appearance on a violation of a no-contact order charge. The public defender's office will continue as counsel. The contempt hearing is set for 10:15 a.m. on Sept. 4. Buenrostro was released on her own recognizance. A no-contact order was issued for the protected party.

Michael Hoffpauir, 501 W. Church St., made an initial appearance on an application to revoke probation and two counts of failure to appear for a pre-trial conference. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his cases. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by the District Court as its docket permits. The pre-trial conferences and a jury trial will be rescheduled by the District Court as its docket permits. No bond was allowed in any of these cases.

Juan Castellano-Muratella, address unknown, made an initial appearance on an aggravated domestic abuse assault charge, a child endangerment charge, a interference with official acts charge, a driving under suspension charge, a careless driving charge and a leaving the scene of an accident-damage to vehicle only charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his cases. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Aug. 30. Bond is set at $2,000 cash only. The court ordered that if he owned or possessed any firearms or ammunition that Castellano-Muratella is to contact the Marshall County Sheriff's Office within 24 hours and make arrangements to surrender them. No-contact orders were issued for the protected parties.

Accidents

On Saturday, a vehicle driven by a 16-year-old female from Union was westbound on 330th Street east of Beaman when it went out of control and entered the south ditch where it overturned. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Union vehicle was estimated at $4,200.

On Friday, a vehicle driven by Jamie Capazo, age 29, of Reinbeck, was northbound on T Avenue south of 190th Street when it went out of control, entered the west ditch and overturned coming to rest on its wheels. Capazo received minor injuries. Damage to the Capazo vehicle was estimated at $3,000.

On Aug. 14, a vehicle driven by Michael Rickert, age 69, of Reinbeck, was exiting a parking stall on Broad Street in Reinbeck when it struck the front passenger side door of a car driven by Gusta McIntyre, age 85, of Reinbeck. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Rickert vehicle was estimated at $150 while the McIntyre car received an estimated $1,500 in damage.

On Aug. 9, a car driven by Michael Hollman, age 72, of Naperville, Ill., was westbound on Highway 20 in the outside lane when it crossed over into the inside lane and collided with a car driven by Marjorie Butler, age 79, of Washburn, sending it into the median. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Hollman car was estimated at $8,000 while the Butler car received an estimated $4,000 in damage. The accident remains under investigation.

On Aug. 5, a vehicle driven by Sawyer Anderson, age 18, of Beaman, was southbound on T-29 north of Beaman when the driver fell asleep and it entered the east ditch where the vehicle continued southbound until it hit a field drive, went airborne and came to rest in the east ditch on its wheels. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Anderson vehicle was estimated at $6,000.

Accidents

On Tuesday, a pickup driven by Benjamin John Kerr, of Gilman, was northbound on the Dillon Road when it struck a deer that entered the roadway and caused functional damage to the pickup. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Kerr pickup was estimated at $4,000.

On Monday, a pickup driven by Chad Leslie Andrews, of Melbourne, was westbound on 315th Street when it struck a deer causing front end damage. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Andrews pickup was estimated at $1,500.
