Brian and Erin Oetker, of Cambridge, are the parents of a daughter, Kenley Alice Oetker, for Aug. 5 weighing 7 pounds, 6 ounces and measuring 21 inches in length. Grandparents are Jeanne Oetker, of Marshalltown, and the late Ron Oetker and Roger and Sara Cope, of Moville. Great grandparents are Clete and Ruth Heinrichs, of Marshalltown, Earl and Irene Oetker, of Haverhill, and Roger and Rebecca Schmidt, of Holstein.

Thursday

Wol Reec Wol, address unknown, made an initial appearance on an application for probation revocation. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his case. The probation revocation hearing is set for 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 23. Wol was released on his own recognizance with all the terms of probation still in affect.

Matthew Krull, 102 N. 11th St., made an initial appearance on two counts of a dogs at large charge. He pleaded guilty and was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75 on each count. The court allowed for monthly installment payments of $50 beginning Sept. 20 until the debt is paid in full.

Tyson Allen Hinders, 111 N. 21st St., made an initial appearance on a pre-trial violation charge. Mike Marquess will continue as counsel. His next court dates are a pre-trial conference at 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 1 and a jury trial at 9 a.m. on Nov. 7. Bond is set at $2,000 cash only.

Matthew Clayton Slifer, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge, a no insurance charge and a operation without registration charge. He pleaded guilty to all charges. On the driving under suspension and no insurance charges the fine was $250 with a $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50 for each charge. The fine on the operation without registration charge was $50 with a $17.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $127.50. The court allowed for monthly installment payments of $50 beginning Sept. 20 until the debt is paid in full.

Derrick Terrill Morris, 1401 S. Seventh Ave. #203, made an initial appearance on a violation of a no-contact order charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his case. The contempt hearing is set for 3:45 p.m. on Sept. 4. The court ordered that if Morris owned or possessed any firearms or ammunition he is to contact the Marshall County Sheriff's Office within 24 hours and make arrangements to surrender them. Morris was released on his own recognizance. A no-contact order was issued for the protected party.

Francisco Izaguirre-Silva, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a driving while revoked charge, a circumventing an interlocking device on a car charge and a no insurance charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his cases. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Sept. 9. Izaguirre-Silva was released on his own recognizance.

Heather Lynn Bell, 111 N. 21st St., made an initial appearance on a violation of probation charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle her case. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by the District Court as its docket permits. No bond was allowed in this case.

Julie Ann Jimenez, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a aggravated domestic abuse-strangulation charge and a child endangerment charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle her cases. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Sept. 9. Jimenez was released on her own recognizance. The court ordered that if she owned or possessed any firearms or ammunition Jimenez is to make contact the Marshall County Sheriff's Office within 24 hours and make arrangements to surrender them. A no-contact order was issued for the protected party.

Jorge Alvarado, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a failure to appear for arraignment charge. The public defender's office will continue as counsel. The arraignment hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Aug. 29. Bond is set at $1,000 cash only.

Brock Thomas Buck, address unknown, made an initial appearance on two counts of a child endangerment charge and neglect or abandonment of a dependent person charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his cases. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Sept. 9. Buck was released with supervision through the Department of Correctional Services and is to report to the adult probation office within 24 hours to sign a pre-trial release agreement. A no-contact order was issued for the protected parties.

Darcy Lopez, of Des Moines, made an initial appearance on warrants for a driving under suspension charge and a unlawful use of a license charge. She pleaded guilty to both charges. On the driving under suspension charge the fine was $250 with a $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50. The court allowed for monthly installment payments of $50 beginning Sept. 20 until the debt is paid in full or in lieu of the fine and surcharge she may do 46 hours of community service plus pay the court costs to be completed by Feb. 28, 2014. The fine on the unlawful use of a license was $100 with a $35 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $195 plus a charge for serving the warrant. The court allowed for the same monthly payment plan as stated above.

Roberta Lynn Delaware, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a public intoxication charge. She pleaded guilty and was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75. The court allowed for monthly installment payments of $50 beginning Sept. 20 until the debt is paid in full.

Lashawn Doncel Scates, 9 E. Grant St. Apt. #1, made an initial appearance on a prohibited acts charge a possession of marijuana with the intent to deliver charge and a tax stamp violation charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his cases. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Sept. 11. The posted bond will continue until the conclusion of this case. The court ordered that he obtain a substance abuse evaluation and submit the results to the court within 60 days of today's date.

Daniel Thomas Warnell, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a sex offender registry violation charge-second offense. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his case. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Sept. 11. Warnell was released with supervision through the Department of Correctional Services and is to report to the adult probation office by the end of work on Aug. 26 to sign a pre-trial release agreement.

Incidents

On Wednesday, Erik Gutierrez, 501 W. South St., reported the theft of a Sony PlayStation 3 game system and six PS3 games from his residence. Estimated value of loss was $430.

On Aug. 12, Joseph Ross King, 205 N. Fourth Ave., reported the theft of a Toshiba Satellite laptop computer from a vehicle while parked at his residence. Estimated value of loss was $400.

Citations

On Thursday, Amanda Ann Johnson, of Garwin, was cited for driving while barred.

Arrests

On Thursday, Daniel Thomas Warnell, 1807 W. Main St., was arrested for failure to comply with the sex offender registry restrictions.

On Thursday, Francisco Izaguirre-Silva, 923 S. 11th Ave., was arrested for driving while revoked, failure to have SR-22 high risk insurance on file and circumventing a ignition interlock device.

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to three medical assists with the EMS crew to: 111 W. Lincoln St., 310 Sharon Ave., and 112 N. 13th Ave.

Tuesday

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to eight medical assists with the EMS crew to: 503 New Salem Road, 505 Sunset Lane, 5 Klaas Court, 2001 S. Fourth St., 933 S. Ninth Ave., 912 Prairie Lane, on West State Street and South Sixth Street.

Wednesday

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to five medical assists with the EMS crew to: 1308 W. Iowa Ave., 103 Bohen St., 128 E. Main St., 1013 S. 10th Ave., and 112 Nicholas Drive.
