Candidates should represent voters, not senators

Republicans running for the U.S. Senate say if you elect them, they will not cancel Chuck Grassley vote. I always thought you are elected to office to represent the people who voted you in, not another senator. These Republicans are telling me they are for Grassley when he wanted to spend hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars for a rain forest in Iowa. These Republicans running for senate sure weren't for the taxpayers in that case.
