Joseph Witte, address unknown, made an initial appearance on two counts of a stolen property charge, a child endangerment charge, a possession of firearms by a felon charge and a possession of drug paraphernalia charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his case. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Oct. 11. Bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety.

Maurice L. Turner, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a felony domestic abuse charge, a child endangerment charge and a spitting in a police vehicle charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his case. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Oct. 11. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only. Turner was ordered that if he owned or possessed any firearms or ammunition he is to contact the Marshall County Sheriff's Office within 24 hours to make arrangements to surrender them. No-contact orders were issued for the protected parties.

Charlotte Katherine Brisson, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a no insurance charge. The case was dismissed upon proof of insurance with $60 in court costs assessed.

Tyrese M. Hoxter, 106 College Drive #1310, made an initial appearance on a theft-fifth degree charge and a possession of alcohol under the legal age limit charge. The court appointed Jeff Hazen to act as counsel. A pre-trial conference is set for 9 a.m. on Nov. 5 in Magistrate Court.

Courtney Kinnetz, 911 W. State St., made an initial appearance on a child endangerment charge and a possession of drug paraphernalia charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle her case. The preliminary hearing is set for 9 a.m. on Oct. 21. Kinnetz was released on her own recognizance.

Sean M. McFarlin, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a failure to appear for a judgment debtors exam. It was requested that he participate in the exam via a telephone interview within 10 days of today's date.

Irma Mendoza, 407 N. Center St., made an initial appearance on a serious assault charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle her case. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Oct. 21. Mendoza was released on her own recognizance.

Jordan Scott Parker, 7 1/2 S. Ninth St., made an initial appearance on a theft-fifth degree charge and a possession of alcohol under legal age limit charge. He pleaded guilty to both charges. On the theft-fifth degree charge the fine was $100 with a $35 surcharge, a $125 law enforcement initiative surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $320, due within 30 days of today's date. The fine on the possession of alcohol under legal age limit was $200 with a $70 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $330, due within 30 days of today's date.

Ilene Maree Sevilla, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge and a no insurance-accident related charge. She pleaded guilty to both charges. On the driving under suspension charge the fine was $250 with a $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50, due within 30 days of today's date. The fine on the no insurance-accident related was $500 with a $175 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $735, due within 30 days of today's date.

Cecelie Van Nevel, of Tama, made an initial appearance on a operating while intoxicated-first offense charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle her case. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Oct. 21. Van Nevel was released on her own recognizance. The court ordered that she obtain a substance abuse evaluation and submit the results to the court within 60 days of today's date.
