CONRAD - Kayla Prosser and Sarah Boomgarden both finished with double-doubles and South Hardin missed just four serves in five matches during the Tigers' NICL West Division volleyball win over BCLUW on Tuesday night.
South Hardin trailed two sets to one but battled back to record the 18-25, 25-17, 25-27, 25-19, 17-15 win on the road.
The Tigers (9-11, 3-1) were led by Prosser's 11 kills, 44 assists, 29 digs and two aces, while Boomgarden also had 13 digs, 17 blocks and was 19-of-19 in serves.
Ellen Swartz and Haley Lawrence each had a team-high 15 kills in the win. Swartz also added six digs, eight blocks and three aces, while Lawrence was 32-of-34 in serves. The Tigers were 111-of-115 from behind the service line in the match, and Alaina Lake chipped in 24 digs.
The Comets (8-9, 3-2) got a match-high 19 kills from Olivia Calloway and the sophomore also had 22 digs. Nicole Montgomery chipped in 14 kills, while Mallory Vawter had 20 digs. Bobbi Paper and Nicolette Simpson each dished out 20 assists and Simpson also was 21-of-21 in serves.
BCLUW next plays in the Charles City Tournament at 9 a.m. Saturday. The Comets return to NICL West Division play Tuesday when they head to Tama to face the South Tama County Trojans at 7:30 p.m.
South Hardin will host AGWSR for an NICL West Division contest at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
