Tanner Jo Halverson, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a arson-first degree charge, a carrying weapons charge and a interference with official acts charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his case. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Oct. 14 in District Court. Bond is set at $100,000 cash only.

Kisha Amundson AKA Kutzner, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a burglary-second degree charge and a public consumption charge. On the burglary-second degree charge the public defender's office was appointed to handle her case. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Oct. 14. Bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety.

On the public consumption charge, she pleaded not guilty and an initial appearance is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on Oct. 11.

Vicki Sue Clark, of Grundy Center, made an initial appearance on two counts of a prohibited acts-first offense charge and a theft-fifth degree charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle her case. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Oct. 24. Clark is released with supervision through the Department of Correctional Services and is to report there by 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 7 to sign a pre-trial release agreement. The court ordered that she obtain a substance abuse evaluation and submit the results to the court within 60 days of today's date.

Megan Lee Farland (Needs), address unknown, made an initial appearance on two request for probation revocation. The public defender's office was appointed to handle her case. The initial probation revocation hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Oct. 28. Bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety.

Kandice Lynn Peak, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. She pleaded guilty and was fined $250 with a $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50, due within 30 days of today's date.

Gustavo Gonzalez-Torres, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a driving while barred charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his case. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Oct. 24. Gonzalez-Torres was released on his own recognizance.

Nicholas Anthony Esposito, 106 W. Church St. Apt. C, made an initial appearance on a possession of drug paraphernalia charge. He pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is set for 9 a.m. on Nov. 19 in Magistrate Court.

Damien Lee Bown, 407 W. Main St., made an initial appearance on a driving while barred charge. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Oct. 24 in District Associate Court. Bown was released on his own recognizance.

Nathan Thomas Lucas, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge, a no valid driver's license charge and a no insurance charge. He pleaded guilty to the driving under suspension and no valid driver's license charges. On the driving under suspension charge the fine was $250 with a $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50, due within 30 days of today's date. The fine on the no valid driver's license is $200 with a $70 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $330, due within 30 days of today's date.

The no insurance charge was dismissed after proof of insurance was presented with court costs of $60 assessed, due within 30 days of today's date.

Catherine Ann Navarro, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a failure to stop within an assured, clear distance charge, a no insurance charge and a driving under suspension charge. She pleaded guilty to all charges. On the failure to stop charge the fine was $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total $147.75, due within 30 days of today's date. The fine on the no insurance charge was $500 with a $175 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $735.
