Roger Rohweder, 80, of rural Gladbrook, died late Tuesday night, Nov. 5, 2013 at the Iowa River Hospice Home in Marshalltown with his family at his side and the presence of his wife, Anna Mae and son-in-law Kenny waiting for his arrival.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 11, at the Peace United Church of Christ in Gladbrook with Pastor Robert Doner officiating. He will be laid to rest with full military honors by the Ehrig-McTurk American Legion Post in the Crystal Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at the Peace Church. Left to cherish his memory are his daughters - Lori Sanderson, for Gladbrook, and Julie (Brad) Hooper, of Conrad, his son Steve, of Gladbrook, four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one on the way. Also surviving are his sisters Melva Vint, of Le Grand; Jan Klar, of Dike, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
