Woman stabs boyfriend with steak knife

A local woman was arrested after she allegedly stabbed her boyfriend in the arm with a steak knife.

Tachelle Thomas, 25, was arrested at 11 p.m. Thursday outside of her residence on the 900 block of W. Nevada St. after the incident took place.

According to police, Thomas and her boyfriend were arguing on and off most of the day until it escalated and Thomas allegedly stabbed him.

The victim had a small wound on his left bicep but declined medical attention. Thomas was arrested for an aggravated domestic assault and taken to jail.

Baylee Mommer and Bayler Waldo, of Gilman, are the parents of a daughter, Mylee Grace Waldo, born at 8:11 a.m. on Oct. 22 at Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center weighing 7 pounds, 12 ounces and measuring 18.5 inches in length.

Vanna Griffith and Jordan Olson, of Marshalltown, are the parents of a daughter, Raidley Jo Griffith, born at 2:45 a.m. on Oct. 30 at Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center. Grandparents are Lori and Chris Griffith and Lea and Mike Bishop. Great grandparents are Peggy Edel and Bonnie and Marty Puhr.

Serena Underwood and Jason Severance, of Grundy Center, are the parents of a son, Laken Michael, born at 8:52 p.m. on Aug. 26 at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo weighing 7 pounds, 13 ounces and measuring 21 inches in length. Grandparents are: Sue Goodman and Gary Underwood, of State Center, and Jim and Terri Severance, of Grundy Center. Great grandparents are: Don and Alice Goodman and Don and Marie Underwood, of Marshalltown; Carol Severance, of Cedar Falls, and Larry and Donita Phelps, of Grundy Center.

Jose Enrique Morales, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a robbery-first degree charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his case. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Nov. 18. Bond is set at $25,000 cash only.

Matthew S. Feld, address unknown, made an initial appearance on two counts of a probation violation. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his case. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by the District Court as its docket permits. Bond is set at a combined total of $10,000 cash only.

Gee Man, address unknown, made an initial appearance through a Karen interpreter on a public intoxication charge. He pleaded guilty and was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75, due within 30 days of today's date.

Crystal Lenie, 405 N. 13th Ave., made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. She pleaded not guilty and was fined $250 with a $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50. The court allowed for monthly installment payments of $50 beginning Dec. 5 until the debt is paid in full.

Arturo Alonso Rico, of Newton, made an initial appearance on a pre-trial violation charge and a failure to appear charge. Norma Meade will continue as counsel. The arraignment hearing is rescheduled for 1 p.m. on Nov. 18. Bond is set at $10,000 cash only.

Randy Pitzer, 511 N. Second Ave., made an initial appearance on a prohibited acts charge and a possession of a Schedule I controlled substance-marijuana charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his case. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Nov. 27. Pitzer was released on his own recognizance. The court ordered as a condition of release that Pitzer obtain a substance abuse evaluation and submit the results to the court within 60 days of today's date.

The court ordered that if she owned or possessed any firearms or ammunition, Thomas is to contact the Marshall County Sheriff's Office within 24 hours to make arrangements to surrender them. A no-contact order was issued for the protected party.

Cody Luke Workman, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a serious domestic assault charge and a criminal mischief-fifth degree charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle his case. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Nov. 18. Bond is set at $1,000 cash or surety. The court ordered that if Workman owned or possessed any firearms or ammunition, he is to contact the Marshall County Sheriff's Office within 24 hours to make arrangements to surrender them. A no-contact order was issued for the protected party.

Daniel Josue Enriquez, 412 N. Fourth St., made an initial appearance on a operating while intoxicated-first offense charge, a open container charge and a no valid driver's license charge. The court appointed the public defender's office as counsel. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Nov. 27. Enriquez was released on his own recognizance.

Jessica Alexandra Acosta, 1118 May St., made an initial appearance on a probation violation charge. The court appointed the public defender's office as counsel. The probation revocation hearing is set for 11:15 a.m. on Nov. 25. Bond is set at $2,000 cash or surety.

Derrick Morris, address unknown, made an initial appearance on a driving while barred charge. The public defender's office was appointed to handle this case. The preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. on Nov. 20. Morris was released on his own recognizance.
