Marshalltown Police Department

Incidents

On Tuesday, an employee with Staples, 27 W. Berle Road, reported the theft of a Google Nexus tablet and a HP laptop Burst 2000 computer from the business. Estimated value of loss was $500.

On Wednesday, Katherine Lucille Snider, 201 N. 19th St., reported the theft of a Sony PlayStation 3 games console and a laptop computer from her residence. Estimated value of loss was $700.

On Monday, Glenn Godfrey, 111 W. High St., reported the theft of a single axle trailer with a drop down gate from his residence. Estimated value of loss was $3,000.

Citations

On Tuesday, Jeff Lloyd Hood, 205 N. Fifth St., was cited for dog at large.

On Thursday, Marshon Dubbert, of Windsor Heights, Des Moines, was cited for overtime parking.

On Tuesday, Warren Lee Lawson, 205 N. Fifth St., was cited for rabies vaccination violation.

Arrests

On Tuesday, Tut Muong, 304 N. Third Ave. Apt. B, was arrested for public intoxication-enhanced.

On Wednesday, Janel Rae Peshel, 217 E. Southridge Road, was arrested for identity theft.

On Wednesday, Jose Enrique Morales, 604 W. Church St., was arrested for robbery.

On Wednesday, Gee Man, 105 W. Linn St., was arrested for public intoxication.

On Wednesday, Katie Marianne Warnell, 702 W. Main St. (Half), was arrested for theft.

On Wednesday, Brady Alan Arment, 2829 160th St., was arrested for driving while revoked.

Accidents

On Wednesday, a car driven by Maria E. Ramirez, of State Center, was northbound in the 1900 block of South 18th Avenue when it struck a deer on the driver's side front bumper that was attempting to cross the four-lane road. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Ramirez car was estimated at $1,800.

On Oct. 29, a Harley-Davidson motorcycle driven by Michael Eugene Briney, 3202 S. 12th St. Lot #52, was eastbound on Iowa Avenue West approaching South Eighth Street when it struck a deer that entered the roadway causing disabling damage to the motorcycle. Briney was transported by family to Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center with what was later determined as life-threatening injuries. Damage to the Harley-Davidson motorcycle was estimated at $6,000.

Arrests

On Wednesday, Seamus Mickell Kaye, 3202 S. 12th St. Lot #16, was arrested for probation violation.

On Wednesday, Justin Phillip Thorson, address unknown, was arrested for violation of probation.

On Monday, Justin Lee Davis, 2306 Yates Ave., was arrested for failure to appear on a driving while barred charge.

On Monday, Todd Patrick Lynch, 6 S. Fifth Ave. Apt. #6, and 1520 W. Main St., was arrested for violation of probation.

On Nov. 3, Joseph Michael Witte, 911 W. State St., was arrested for driving while barred and violation of a restricted license.

On Nov. 1, April Sue Stanley, 403 S. First St., was arrested for possession of prescription drugs.

Accidents

On Monday, a pickup driven by Vincent Delbert William Shever, of Des Moines, was southbound on Highway 330 when it struck a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Shever pickup was estimated at $3,500.

On Nov. 1, a minivan driven by Steven Ray Merrill, of Charles City, was southbound on Highway 14 when it struck a deer that entered the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Merrill minivan was estimated at $3,000.

Wednesday

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a dispatched/cancelled en route to 812 N. Fifth Ave., a false alarm at 400 Woodbury St., and seven medical assists with the EMS crew to: 205 N. Fourth Ave., 1213 E. Boone St., 1301 Summit St., 308 1/2 E. Boone St., 3702 S. Center St., 613 N. Third Ave., and 1213 E. Boone St.

Tuesday

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a medical assist with the EMS crew to 1 E. Main St.

Monday

The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to an unintentional transmission of alarm at 2802 S. Center St., a smoke detector activation due to malfunction to 2907 S. Sixth St., and six medical assists with the EMS crew to: 304 Melody Lane, 606 Summit St., 506 E. Anson St., 3120 S. Second St., 1509 W. State St., and 1314 W. Main St.
