Riskedahl receives CNE designation
Reed Riskedahl, realtor with Five Star Real Estate Group, 2110 S. Center St., has been awarded the Certified Negotiation Expert designation by the Real Estate Negotiation Institute.
The CNE is earned by real estate professionals after successfully completing formal negotiation training from the Real Estate Negotiation Institute. Agents who receive this certification are 1 percent of all agents nationally and are recognized for their abilities.
With professional negotiation skills, agents are able to help clients obtain better results in the sale or purchase of their home. CNE agents have a powerful competitive edge because of their ability to communicate effectively, help clients understand their options, work collaboratively and resolve deadlocks. CNE agents have a thorough understanding of how to negotiate effectively to help achieve their client's goals.
GCMH volunteer honored as Shining Star of the Year
GRUNDY CENTER - Grundy County Memorial Hospital (GCMH) Volunteer, Kate Durbin, was honored as Grundy County Memorial Hospital's Shining Star of the Year at the Iowa Hospital Association's Annual Meeting.
In Durbin's nomination, she was described as an energetic and enthusiastic Grundy County Memorial Hospital Foundation Volunteer.
Durbin has been on the Foundation Board of Directors since 2006. She has helped with create events that attract a large attendance to help raise more money for the foundation and create buzz in the community. Durbin has been instrumental in making the Gala and the Fall Fling the foundation's most successful fundraisers.
"With Kate, anything is possible - including the transformation of an ordinary room into a glitzy party scene! Thank you, Kate, for the incredible amount of time you have given to Grundy County Memorial Hospital Foundation," the nomination said.
