FARGO, N.D. - Jen Keitel's 24 points and 12 rebounds helped the Northern Iowa women's basketball team to an 86-82 road win over North Dakota State on Wednesday.

It was the second double-double of Keitel's career, and she got help from Stephanie Davison and Hannah Schonardt in the victory as both finished in double-figures. Davison has scored in double-digits in three of the first four Panther games this season. She finished with 18 points, while Schonhardt added 14 in the win.

The victory evened out Northern Iowa's record at 2-2, while North Dakota State, which was led by Brooke LeMar's 24 points and eight assists, dropped to 1-3.

North Dakota State jumped out to an 8-2 lead early in the contest, but a 19-2 run by the Panthers, sparked by Schonhardt, gave UNI a 32-22 advantage.

LeMar though rallied the Bison back with a strong end to the half. She nailed a 3-pointer and then converted a 3-point play to put NDSU up 45-44 at the break.

The game was tied at 50-all during the first media timeout of the second half, but North Dakota State led by nine with 8 minutes to go.

The UNI rally though featured an Erin Dohnalek layup and 3-pointer, a triple from Davison and three free throws from Keitel and Ty Smith.

Dohnalek's second trey of the game came with less than a minute to play and put the Panthers up 83-82 and then a pair of freebies from Keitel and another free throw from Smith put the game away for the visitors.

The Panthers turned it over just eight times and made 20-of-27 from the line in the win. That helped UNI overcome a 6-for-26 performance from the 3-point line.

Hannah Breske put in 15 off the bench for NDSU, while Holly Johnson finished with 14 points and five rebounds.

The Panthers return to the court Sunday when they host instate rival Iowa at the McLeod Center at 2 p.m.
