For the second year in a row the Marshalltown Community College men's soccer team has an NJCAA Division I All-American.
Freshman Juan Carrillo earned second-team honors after leading the Tigers in scoring this fall. The Cordoba, Spain native joins Javier Lopez, who was named to the third team in 2012, and becomes the sixth All-American in program history.
Carrillo was one of four members of the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference to earn All-American honors with the other three going to 2013 national champion Iowa Western.
Carrillo led MCC in goals (14), assists (13) and points (41) to lead MCC to a second straight 14-win campaign. The freshman finished fourth in the ICCAC in goals, second in assists and third in points. He was also tied for second in the nation with seven game-winning goals.
