Local man throws woman to ground
A man who allegedly violated a no contact order and grabbed a woman by her throat then threw her to the ground has been arrested.
Aaron L. Dolash, 31, was arrested Saturday, after officers found him inside a house on the 900 block of North Fourth Avenue.
According to police, the victim allegedly made comments about her sister to Dolash. Those comments led Dolash to the alleged incident. The victim suffered no major injuries. Dolash is charged with simple assault and violation of a no contact order.
Wife assaults husband over cigarettes
A local woman who was arguing over cigarettes with her husband and allegedly hit him on the face has been arrested.
Barbra J. Edel, 63, was arrested Thursday, after officers were called about a domestic argument inside an apartment on the 2000 block of South Second Street.
According to police, once they arrived to the apartment they noticed Edel's husband had an injury above his left eye. Her husband then told police she assaulted him.
After investigation they took Edel into custody. Edel is charged with aggravated domestic assault enhanced. Edel has prior convictions for domestic assault.
Local woman on warrants for more than a year arrested
A woman who was a suspect in a burglary and had two warrants issued for her in 2012 was arrested after she turned herself in.
Candice. J. Trowbridge, 30, was arrested around 1 a.m., Monday. According to police, on Sept. 4, 2012, Trowbridge had allegedly broke in the Mid Iowa Storage Units, 910 N. 4th Ave. and stole a Chevy Blazer.
Trowbridge is charged with second-degree theft, a Class D felony and third-degree burglary, a Class D felony. She is in jail on a $5,000 cash or surety bond.
