The second scholarship program is the "Mark Earl and Esther Ruth Spencer Technical Scholarship" or MCEC Technical Scholarship. Scholarships will be awarded to graduating Iowa High School seniors planning to enroll in a mechanical or trade course of study at an accredited Iowa Community College. 20 scholarships of $1,250 each will be awarded. This is the fifth year for this scholarship. The deadline for applications is March 1.
Each year, Iowa Masons are pleased to be able to award scholarships based on a student's academic performance, community activities, leadership and financial need from endowment funds established to recognize the accomplishments of young Iowans and to promote the education of our future leaders.
