St. Francis Catholic School (formerly Marshalltown Area Catholic School) celebrates Catholic Schools Week - Jan. 26 through Feb. 1.
This is the 40th anniversary of National Catholic Schools Week with the theme "Catholic Schools: Communities of Faith, Knowledge and Service" which encompasses several concepts that are at the heart of Catholic education.
With Christ as the focus, Catholic schools celebrate the inner-connectivity and community life by serving students from all socio-economic backgrounds and giving them a strong academic and moral foundation allowing them to succeed.
St. Francis Catholic school will be Celebrating Catholic schools week from Jan. 26 to Feb. 1.
Special activities planned for this week include student participation at Masses the weekend of Jan. 25-26 and an All-School Mass at 9 a.m. Jan. 30 at St. Mary Church. The public is invited.
