Even if you're not at Metlife Stadium, Marshalltown offers plenty of ways to score on Super Bowl Sunday.

Before the Seahawks and Broncos fight for the win during Super Bowl XLVIII, a free warm up to score deals will be offered locally. From noon to 4 p.m. four local businesses, Chalet, Pentz Appliance & TV, Rhubarb & Lace and Willard's, will be hosting its own Souper Bowl Sunday event.

Deb Nuss, of Rhubarb & Lace, said each of the four stores will be offering free soup and merchandise specials to its customers.

"It's a courtesy," Nuss said. "Come in and have a little bit of soup."

During the game, local restaurants will be serving their own Super Bowl specials.

Tim Shore, owner of Calvin Rockett Bar & Grill, 2013 S. Center Street, said they have nine TVs and will offer pizza, slider and drink specials.

"Come cheer on your team and enjoy our specials," Shore said. "You can't go wrong."

Diane Nichols, general manager of Legends, 2902 S. Center St., said Legends will offer $5.55 appetizers and drink specials. Legends has 57 TVs.

"We have a huge party room that has its own TVs which would be a perfect location for a Super Bowl party," Nichols said.

In addition to the restaurants, local bars are also assisting those looking for deals and a place to watch the game.

Darcy Zahand, manager of Old Timer Tavern, 401 S. Center St., said she has five big screen TVs, buckets of beer specials and snack food during the game.

John Berry, of Vaughn's Pub, 22 N. First Ave., said during the game prizes will be given out, drink specials will be available and different shots will be given out when different things happen during the game.

For those wanting to cheer from the couch, Samuel Ivarra, manager of Sports Page, said only four things are needed.

"You need appetizers, drinks and just good friends and family," Ivarra said. "You can have a great time by pretty much just being with friends and family."

Kickoff for the Super Bowl is scheduled at 5:25 p.m. on Fox.
