A Marshalltown murder trial scheduled for next week has been moved to June.
Mathew Irving, is charged with first-degree murder in the death of Rebecca Hall, whose body was discovered in a van on East Main Street Road near Sand Lake.
A Marshall County Sheriff's deputy discovered her body while on routine patrol July 14.
Irving was arrested two days later following an investigation by local authorities.
According to court documents, Irving admitted to authorities and to family members that he strangled her to death.
Hall, 55, was a Marshalltown woman.
During his initial court appearance Irving told a judge he "didn't really men to kill her."
The new trial date is scheduled for June 24.
Irving is being held at the Marshall County Jail on a $1 million cash-only bond. If convicted, Irving faces a life sentence in prison without parole.
