Born on August 22, 1997, in Iowa City, he blessed his parents, Roger Waltemeyer and Carolyn (Hartwig) Waltemeyer, along with his twin sister, Shannon. He was currently a sophomore in the Marshalltown High School and enjoyed anything outdoors- hunting, fishing, and collecting knives, as well as listening to music, bowling, and hanging with girlfriend, Caitlyn Wenner and friends. He was known as such a kind and nice young man who always had a smile and recently started attending youth group at New Hope Christian Church.
Left to cherish his memory among so many are his parents and twin sister, Shannon; his grandma, Shirley Waltemeyer; aunt, JoAnn (Mike) Willits; uncle, Craig Waltemeyer; great-aunt, Virginia Johnson; great-uncle, Rick; great-aunt, Beverly; and great aunt and uncle, Dale and Dorothy; as well as other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
In death, Michael rejoined his brother Anthony, who died of cancer at age 15; his grandpa, David; uncle, Dwayne; and great-grandma, Vera Hall.
