On Friday, Shane Dale Sizemore, of Eldora, was arrested for burglary-second degree, violation of a no-contact order, felony domestic abuse assault-enhanced and harassment-first degree.
On Feb. 20, Vincent Paul Cronbaugh, 306 Bromley St. Apt. #12, was arrested for serious assault, interference with official acts and possession of drug paraphernalia.
On Saturday, an employee with Walmart, 2802 S. Center St., reported the shoplifting theft of 160 pieces of merchandise in the amount of $941.48.
On Friday, David Ortiz, 301 N. Fourth St., reported the theft of wicker chairs and a copper colored flower pot from the porch at his residence. Estimated value of loss was $500.
On Saturday, Daniel Adam DeSautels, 710 S. 12th St. Apt. #6, was cited for operating while intoxicated.
On Friday, Feb. 21, Steven Eugene Kunch, 112 N. 13th Ave., was cited for rabies vaccination violation.
On Friday, a car driven by Lauren Marie March, 1303 Greenbriar Lane, was northbound on South Center Street in the left lane when, due to a car in front braking quickly, it applied the brakes and began sliding on the 100 percent ice covered roadway, crossing oncoming lanes and striking a utility pole on the northwest corner of the intersection of South Center Street and High Street. March was possibly injured, but not transported. Damage to the March car was estimated at $7,000.
On Friday, a pickup driven by Spencer Karl Elliott, of Polk City, was attempting to park in a parking spot of the Tallcorn Towers parking lot when it began sliding and collided with the passenger side of a Ford minivan that was legally parked in the lot. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Elliott pickup was estimated at $3,000 while the minivan received an estimated $2,000 in damage.
On Monday, an unknown orange vehicle struck a legally parked Jeep in the 10 block of East Main Street on the south side between 4 and 9:30 p.m. damaging the driver's side front quarter panel and bumper. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Jeep was estimated at $2,000.
On Monday, a small school bus driven by Janice Ann Stanley, 317 Columbus Drive, was southbound on North Third Avenue attempting to turn left onto Woodbury Street when it turned short and collided with the driver's side front corner on a car driven by Nancy Abigail Avila, 306 Woodbury St., which was stopped at the stop sign. No injuries were reported. Stanley was cited for turning from improper lane and Avila was cited for no insurance-accident. Damage to the Stanley school bus was estimated at $900 while the Avila car received an estimated $1,000 in damage.
Grundy County Sheriff's Office
On Feb. 18, Michael Mansheim, age 27, of Parkersburg, was arrested at the intersection of Highway 14 and Highway 20 and charged with operating while intoxicated-first offense. He was released on promise to appear.
On Feb. 11, Tonya Maxson, age 41, of New Hartford, was arrested on two Grundy County warrants charging her with driving while license is revoked and interference with official acts. She posted bond and was released.
On Feb. 5, Anthony Gile, age 21, of Waterloo, was arrested at the Grundy County Sheriff's Office on a warrant charging him with probation violation. He posted bond and was released.
On Feb. 3, Jared Slinker, age 24, of Grundy Center, was arrested at the intersection of Highway 175 and T-19 and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He posted bond and was released.
On Saturday, a vehicle driven by Jacqueline Faust, age 33, of Parkersburg, was southbound on M Avenue when it went out of control on the icy roadway, entered the east ditch and rolled onto its side. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Faust vehicle was estimated at $7,000.
On Feb. 17, a semi driven by Rick Benda, age 24, of Sutherland, was eastbound on Highway 20 when it attempted to go around a snowplow driven by William Sager, age 41, of Reinbeck, and clipped the wing of the snowplow. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Benda semi was estimated at $2,000 while the Sager snowplow received an estimated $1,000 in damage.
On Feb. 13, a vehicle driven by Dylan DeBuhr, age 18, of New Hartford, was westbound on Westbrook east of R Avenue when it hit blowing snow, went out of control and collided with a snow bank near the north ditch. No injuries were reported. DeBuhr was cited for failure to maintain control. Damage to the DeBuhr vehicle was estimated at $5,000.
On Feb. 6, a vehicle driven by Derek Wood, age 23, of Reinbeck, was southbound on T-55 and attempted to make a right hand turn to go west on Highway 175, lost control on the snow-covered roadway and entered the eastbound lane trying to take the south ditch when it collided with a car driven by Alisha Titcomb, age 37, of Morrison, which was traveling east on Highway 175. No injuries were reported. Damage to the both vehicles was estimated at $2,000 each.
