The Marshalltown Men's Chorus will present its 59th Annual Spring Concert on April 5 in the MHS/Community Auditorium beginning at 6:30 p.m.
With a theme of "Yesterday Once More" the concert will feature songs that have been sung in concerts since the very first concert in 1956.
Some of the titles selected so far are "Autumn Leaves," "Moon River," "Alexander's Ragtime Band," "People" and "Shenandoah." The guest group this year is Shy of a Dozen, a talented a cappella group of 11 students from Iowa State University. Shy of a Dozen participated in the 50th Anniversary concert of the Men's Chorus in 2005. Tickets for adults are on sale now at $8 if purchased in advance; tickets will be available at the door for $10. Children through high school age are admitted free of charge.
