AMES - Iowa State senior forward Hallie Christofferson was the model of consistency for the Cyclone women's basketball team this past season.
And after scoring in double-figures in 29 of Iowa State's 31 games this season, Christofferson was honored with a first-team all-Big 12 Conference nod. She also landed on the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's All-Region 5 squad Tuesday.
Christofferson, one of 52 players nationally that will now be up for All-American \honors, led the Cyclones at 18.4 points and 7.2 rebounds per game and shot 46 percent from the floor. She also was one of the best free-throw shooters in the country at 87.7 percent.
In the 29 games Christofferson reached double-figures, she scored at least 20 points 16 times. She recorded eight double-doubles and shot better than 50 percent from the floor 14 times.
The selection committee will determine the 10-member WBCA Division I Coaches' All-America Team from the 52 candidates on the All-Region teams.
Joining Christofferson on the All-Region 5 team is Baylor's Nina Davis and Odyssey Sims, Oklahoma State's Tiffany Bias, Kansas' Chelsea Gardne, Oklahoma's Aaryn Ellenberg and West Virginia's Asya Bussie.
