Alicia Hunter and Ivan Tejada were honored by Mayor Jim Lowrance and the public for their years of service at the Marshalltown Police Department Monday night.
“Alicia Hunter and Juan Tejada are two of our superstars,” said Mike Tupper, police chief of the Marshalltown Police Department. “They are part of the backbone of a great police organization.”
Hunter has been an administrative assistant for the police department for 10 years.
“She’s probably one of the most reliable people I’ve ever worked with,” Tupper said.
Tejada has been an officer with the department for five years.
“He’s one of the best police and field training officers I’ve ever worked with,” Tupper said.
Tupper thanked them both for the work they do.
