Mohler retires after 30 years
Beulah Mohler, 97, retired earlier this month after working 30 years at Walmart. Mohler began her career when she was 67 at the Marshalltown Walmart. When she moved to Kalona to be closer to family, she transferred to the Washington, Iowa branch.
A retirement party was held in her honor. At the gathering, Mohler was presented with a 30 years of service pin, plaque and a handwritten letter from the new CEO of Walmart, Doug McMillon, thanking her for her dedication and work ethic. Mohler previously lived in Toledo and Garwin.
Hass named senior vice president
Jennifer Hass has been promoted to senior vice president. She has more than 20 years of banking experience, which includes consumer lending, branch management, operations, human resources and marketing. Hass joined United Bank & Trust in 2005 and is the bank's Human Resources Officer and Marketing Officer. She serves on several bank committees and assists with strategic planning initiatives.
Hass is currently a member of the Marshalltown Community Y nominating committee and a member of the city of Marshalltown's Enterprise Zone Commission. Past community involvement includes serving on the Community Y and YWCA board and volunteer efforts on the Community Y Partner with Youth Campaign.
Holland promoted to vice president
Mary Holland has been promoted to vice president. She has 30 years of banking experience, which includes branch management, retail banking and consumer lending. Holland's career at United Bank & Trust began in 2002 where she was an integral part of establishing the bank's products and services prior to the bank's opening in June 2002. Holland's current role is in retail banking and consumer lending.
Holland has a strong local community presence through her involvement with Beta Sigma Phi, Marshalltown Noon Optimist Club and volunteer work through her church and the Marshalltown Area Chamber of Commerce. Past involvement includes Iowa Valley Leadership Class of 2004, Iowa Valley Leadership Advisory Board and the Community Y Partner with Youth Campaign.
