Most Americans have never set foot on a farm or ranch or even talked to the people who grow and raise the food they eat.
"Farmland" takes viewers on a trip across the U.S. to give them an intimate look at the lives of farmers and ranchers in their 20s, their high-risk/high reward jobs and their passion for an ever-evolving way of life that has been passed down from generation to generation.
The Marshall County Corn and Soybean Growers, in partnership with the Marshalltown Chamber of Commerce ag committee and Marshall County Farm Bureau, has arranged to bring this film by award-winning director James Moll to the Orpheum Theater in Marshalltown on June 23 and 24.
Showtime for both dates is 7 p.m. There is no charge for the tickets, which are available at the Marshall County Farm Bureau office by calling 641-753-6637 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by contacting Dave Scott at 641-750-0085 or email@example.com.
