Monday evening the Gladbrook City Council met in special session to finish year-end business for 2013-14.
The council approved payment to Ament design in the amount of $1,567.50 for services for preliminary and final design, bidding and construction for the fire/ambulance building project.
Year-end claims for $9,337.56 were approved.
Resolution 14-43 was adopted to transfer $13,000 from the general fund to the road use fund for street lighting expense. Resolution 14-44 was adopted to transfer $6,470.43 from the Emergency Fund received from Tama County to the General Fund. Resolution 14-45 was adopted to transfer $20,085.22 Local Option Sales Tax Revenue from the Special Revenue Fund to the Debt Service Fund for the payment of principal and interest of debt incurred by the City of Gladbrook for street improvements and economic development; and to transfer $22,927.02 Local Option Sales Tax Revenue from the Special Revenue Fund to the General Fund for the reduction of taxes. Resolution 14-46 was adopted to transfer $25,240 from the Special Revenue Fund to the General Fund for employee benefits expenditures and $3,368.95 from the Special Revenue Fund to the Road Use Fund for employee benefits expenditures.
The second reading of ordinance #126 that prohibits the feeding and/or sheltering of feral, homeless or stray animals was passed.
A resident residing at 114 4th St. asked for an extension of time in response to the nuisance letter he received to clean up his junk.
