Since Aug. 17, 1964 the Marshalltown Speedway has been a place to watch some of the best local racing.
As we celebrated the nation's holiday, we also celebrated 50 years of racing and the fans were not disappointed as there was great racing all night long as well an amazing Fireworks display by the city of Marshalltown.
David Moorman seems to find his way to the front a lot in the IMCA Sport Compacts eight-lap feature and this week was no different. Moorman lead all the laps to take the win over John Gill, Zach Brenner and Alec Gill.
The Mod Lites 15-lap feature saw Eric Hendrickson grab the lead early.
Hendrickson saw the first yellow come out on lap five but continued to lead only to see the caution come out again on lap eight.
