Grundy Center Sheriff's new hire
GRUNDY CENTER - The Grundy Center Sheriff's Office is announcing the hiring of Kyle Wolthoff, age 26, of Grundy Center, as a deputy sheriff beginning July 14. Wolthoff is an ILEA graduate and has worked the past four years for the Hudson Police Department. Wolthoff replaces Deputy Chris Heerkes, who retired on April 30.
Thede achieves CSP designation
FRISCO, TEXAS - Craig J. Thede has completed all requirements for certification as a Certified Safety Professional. This highly respected certification is awarded to individuals who meet academic standards, satisfy professional safety experience requirements and have passed rigorous examinations covering engineering and management aspects of safety, applied sciences, legal and regulatory matters, environmental, industrial health and hygiene topics.
The Board of Certified Safety Professionals establishes standards for and verifies minimum competency in professional safety practice. Currently, more than 11,000 hold the CSP designation.
Thede currently resides in Frisco, Texas, where he has been the Safety Director for Soil Express, Ltd. for 1.5 years. He is formerly from Reinbeck and a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa. He is also a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers and an OSHA authorized trainer for construction.
Harris receives P.L.S. license
Clapsaddle-Garber Associates, a civil engineering and land surveying firm with offices in Marshalltown, Ames and Cedar Falls, is pleased to announce that Jeremy Harris has obtained his Professional Land Surveyors license. He began his carrier as a Field Surveyor at CGA in 1995, and recently passed the licensing exam in April of this year.
His 20 years of field experience will serve him well in the role of Professional Land Surveyor as he continues to provide accurate and timely property surveys, and construction staking on projects such as interstate highway expansions and electric transmission lines.
