A Marshalltown man who is charged with child endangerment has been sentenced to six months in jail and ordered to pay fines.
Enrique Analco-Huilotl, 31, was sent to the Marshall County Jail for 90 days for each count of child endangerment and false imprisonment.
Analco-Huilotl pleaded guilty to those charges in an agreement that dismissed a sexual abuse charge.
According to police, last April, Analco-Huilotl hit the victim in the face and kicked her in front of a 5-year-old child. He then sexually assaulted the victim and took away her phone so she could not call police.
The victim had no signs of injury, however, she was taken to the hospital to be examined.
Analco-Huilotl was initially charged with third-degree sexual abuse, a Class C felony, child endangerment without injury, simple domestic assault and obstruction of emergency communication.
The simple domestic assault charge was dismissed.
The two 90-day sentencing will run concurrently with each other. Analco-Huilotl was also ordered pay a $625 and 35 percent sub-charge fine for the child endangerment charge and a $315 and 35 percent sub-charge fine for the false imprisonment count.
