Mosher selected for Girls State by Liscomb Auxiliary

CONTRIBUTED PHOTO BCLUW student Lauren Mosher has been chosen by the Liscomb Legion Auxiliary as their candidate for the Iowa American Legion Auxiliary Girls State, June 18-23.

LISCOMB — Lauren Mosher, of Conrad, has been selected by the Liscomb Legion Auxiliary at attend the 2017 annual session of the Iowa American Legion Auxiliary Girls State to be held June 18-23 on the campus of Drake University.

Mosher is the daughter of Jim and Brenda Mosher and a student at BCLUW High School where she is involved in band, choir, speech, drama, National Honor Society and FCCLA. Mosher is very active in 4-H, the Mid-Iowa Youth Beef team, the Mid-Iowa Livestock Judging team, Marshall Co. Youth Ambassadors and State 4-H Council. She enjoys spending time with her family and working on the farm with their cattle.

At Girls State, Mosher will participate in legislative sessions, campaigning, party rallies and etc. She will also hear several motivational speakers, along with local and state government officials. As the week ends on June 16th, the girls will be participating in the inauguration of the newly elected Girls State Officials.
